WHERE SERBIAN PEOPLE TRAVEL FOR NEW YEAR’S EVE? THE MOST COMMON DESTINATIONS AND PRICES

Serbs are already heavily planning where they will spend the “craziest night”. Covid protocols are a thing of the past, and while some can’t wait for the first snow, sledding and skiing, many still opt for exotic destinations where summer lasts all year round.

“Where are you going for New Year’s Eve”, a question that lingers from the moment we leave the towels and bathing suits for the next season. Summer seems to have just ended – now is the time to plan the “craziest night”.

“When we talk about their interest, it is always the highest for bus arrangements, the prices start from 70 euros and up. Depending on the destination, number of nights. Above all, the cities in the surrounding area, Budapest, Prague, Vienna, Sofia, Thessaloniki, in our immediate surroundings, Sarajevo, Zagreb, Trebinje are the most sought-after destinations,” said Aleksandar Seničić, for “TV Prva”.

“Of the destinations, the most attractive are Rome, Paris, Barcelona, but a large number of our passengers want warmer places, so we will also have Provence, Nice and Sicily,” says Andrej Todorović.

The pandemic has greatly changed the habits of travelers, so today they decide to spend their holidays in Serbia much more often.

“A large number of our travelers want to book their accommodation in Serbia, both in spas and in the mountains. The growing number of tourists and the better hotel offer actually gives us the opportunity to enjoy the tourist offer of our country,” says Todorović.

This year, the arrangements are more expensive, primarily due to the increase in fuel prices, as well as air transportation, so let’s say a trip to Rome costs around 370 euros. They also travel abroad for skiing.

“The greatest interest is in Jahorina, but also a large number of individual travelers inquire about Austria, Italy and Germany,” concludes Seničić.
