The Royal Compound in Dedinje Reopens Its Doors
A unique opportunity to explore royal residences and meet the Crown Prince

One of Belgrade’s most beautiful and most visited attractions – the Royal Compound in Dedinje – is once again open to visitors. Every Saturday, lovers of history, art, and architecture will have the chance to step into the royal world of the Karađorđević dynasty and explore magnificent residences that preserve the spirit of times past.
Two tours, two languages, one royal experience
There are organized guided tours at two times: at 9:30 AM in Serbian and at 12:30 PM in English. Which allows both domestic and international visitors to experience the unique atmosphere of the Royal Compound.
With expert guidance, visitors will hear numerous fascinating stories from the history of the Karađorđević family and get a glimpse inside buildings that stand as witnesses to the tumultuous eras of Serbian and European history.

The Royal Palace, the White Palace, and the Chapel of Saint Andrew
The tour includes three main sites:
-
The Royal Palace, built in the Serbian-Byzantine style, whose interior exudes the elegance of the interwar period;
-
The White Palace, a spacious and representative residence intended for receptions and official meetings;
-
The Royal Chapel of Saint Andrew the First-Called, the spiritual center of the compound.
A special part of the experience is a walk through the expansive Royal Park, whose landscaped gardens and alleys offer peace and serenity in the very heart of the capital.
Royal hosts
When their schedule permits, Crown Prince Alexander Karađorđević and Princess Katherine personally welcome and greet visitors. Their presence adds a unique authenticity to the experience and serves as a reminder of the living continuity of monarchical tradition in modern-day Belgrade.
High interest, limited capacity
Due to high demand and limited capacity, it is recommended to reserve your visit in advance. The Royal Compound is not only an architectural ensemble but also a symbol of national history, political transformation, and Serbia’s cultural identity.
