IN 2023, ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND VOUCHERS FOR VACATIONS IN SERBIA

In the budget proposal for 2023, the Government of Serbia has identified funds for a new 100,000 vouchers for holidays in Serbia, and the Association “My Serbia” invites restaurateurs and hoteliers to get involved in the action and with their participation enable the citizens of Serbia to have a greater choice of facilities and destinations for holidays during in 2023

During the last eight years, subsidies in the field of domestic tourism have produced outstanding results, according to the announcement of “My Serbia”.

More than 3,500 categorized catering establishments will be available to citizens for a subsidized vacation during the next year.

Expectations are that in the coming period, an even greater number of restaurateurs will join in the action and that income from tourism will once again record record results.

Incomes from tourism are growing year by year, a large number of our citizens decide to spend their vacation or part of their vacation in Serbia, and restaurateurs are increasingly investing in the expansion and arrangement of their accommodation facilities, reports Tanjug.

The basic amount of this year’s vouchers was used up in less than a month, but thanks to the additional amount, which was approved in June, the accommodation capacities were completely filled by the end of November.

The association “My Serbia” points out that they believe that during this year the Government of Serbia will find additional funds and reach the quota of 250,000 vouchers, which in their experience would satisfy the needs of the citizens of Serbia to a significant extent.

As in the previous period, citizens chose Zlatibor, Sokobanja and Vrnjačka banja for their vacation this year, but there was also great interest in Prolom banja, Ribarska banja, Tara, Divčibare, Kopaonik, as well as many other places in Serbia.

“We hope that along with the vouchers for vacations in our country, the government will find the means to start a campaign to distribute vouchers for the purchase of domestic products from small producers from Serbia,” said Milan Ristic from the association “My Serbia” and added that these two subsidies would form a unique whole, which would further encourage the development of the interior of Serbia.

The largest number of agricultural holdings are located in rural areas or in underdeveloped rural areas.

By allocating funds from the Serbian budget for the subsidized purchase of their products, the development of these areas would be initiated, which in the future would lead to greater interest among young people in living and working in those areas.

“We are on the threshold of a new economic crisis, for which we do not know either how intense it will be or how long it will last. In such conditions, it is necessary to turn to our resources, to encourage family production and to ensure a better standard and a safer future for our citizens, above all in the interior of Serbia”, stated Ristić.

The distribution of vacation vouchers represents one of the most profitable subsidies in the Serbian economy.

Considering that the domestic products of small producers are almost 100% of domestic origin, all the money invested in their subsidy, as in the case of domestic tourism, would remain in the country and would be returned to the budget of Serbia very quickly, the “My Serbia” association points out. .
