THREE THINGS YOU SHOULD VISIT IN DUBROVNIK

Dubrovnik is a such great place for holiday. Tourists from all around the world are coming here to admire its beauty. There is a list of places that are must visit in this part of Croatia.

STARDUN

Stardun is the main street of Dubrovnik city. It is a promenade and a great place for gathering and shopping. It is paved with stone, decorated with two fountains on both sides and with two bell towers. In 1667 it was struck by terrible earthquake. Many buildings were demolished, but even that did not tarnish its beaty. At the end of the promenade is Luza square, where many monuments are located. That is also a place for many occasions, such as festival in February, New Year’s Eve and many others.

SRDJ HILL

It was named after first protector of Dubrovnik – St. Srdj. It is located at 415 meters above sea level on north side of the town. After Napoleon’s conquest, a fortress Imperial began to be built here. The main purpose of the fortress is to protect the city. The best, breathtaking view on Dubrovnik  is from this hill. Many world photographers find inspiration right in this place.

CITY FORTRESS

A must visit place in Dubrovnik is the city wall, on which is located city fortress. City wall conclude several fortress such as Minceta, Bokar, St. Ivan, Lovrenac and Revelin. What is interesting is that around them there are houses from which the natives often greet visitors. They are very kind and friendly, like others in Dubrovnik.  There is an aquarium at the bottom of the tower. At this complex there is also a maritime museum for all nautical lovers.
